Here we are on our journey from Conceit to Complete. Drawing attention away from self and focusing on The One who makes us complete.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through
Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Remember that Jesus does not condemn us or tell us that all is lost. Rather, He says come to me and I will set you free!
Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires;
but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
Living in the flesh means living for one's self. If you feel like doing it, go right ahead. Don't worry about what other people think or how it will affect them. Go ahead and stay on Facebook for hours instead of cooking a good meal or reading your babies a bedtime story. It's what you desire. (Just so you know, I have been guilty of this as well.)
What does the Holy Spirit of God desire for you? Life and peace. Think about that for a second. Living life fully. Enjoying each moment. Living at peace with those around you. Being at peace with the godly decisions you make. How is this possible?
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Did you catch that? NOTHING can separate you from the love of God! Nothing you have done. Nothing in your past. Nothing evil. Not even when you die. Jesus love you. Completely.
Convince: If you wish, take some time to read Romans 8 today. Pray and ask God to show you what He wants you to learn. Take each sentence and let it sink in. It's okay if you don't understand everything. If you find something that speaks to you underline it or write it in your journal.
