A few weeks (months?) ago, I hit the "pause" button on my life. I stayed home and focused on my family. My life was going a zillion miles an hour. I never finished anything. Laundry was piled up higher than the washer, and I was miserable. I was trying to please everyone else. And when Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. Thus, the big pause, as I like to call it.
Sure, friend's feelings were hurt. Some thought I had lost my mind. But what I gained was sweet peace. Control of my home. Rejuvenation. And it was so worth it. Even though I gained about ten pounds from chocolate and Gardettos. Anybody ever had the cake balls they make at Starbucks? I bought some bigger pants.
