Rainy days

So content to be done with the harvest and then the rain falls! We have rested the past two days. Cooking lots of good hearty food and spending quality time together. Napping, too!

I've been keeping up with my new pen pals. I love getting real mail and writing back about life and thoughts and feelings. I imagine the surprise on each of their faces when they open their mailboxes.

A new baby joined the neighborhood this week...so sweet. Makes me happy to have all these kids around for mine to grow up with! Cody and the three neighbor boys were the only ones for a long time. Now there are at least 12-15 kids.

So glad the corn is out of the field in front of my window. I can see the highway and horizon again.
